Bring your family or friends, arrange a discreet visit for private clients, plan a travel-agency group or request focused practice for a sumo team. Tell us what you have in mind, and we will discuss the format. Specific instructors and special arrangements are subject to availability.
Allow around 90 minutes, including preparation and photographs: put on a mawashi, learn the etiquette and rules, and practise shiko, koshiwari and suriashi. Try suitable drills and a guided bout before taking photos together. Activities and intensity are tailored to your group.

Practise in a real indoor sumo ring at Heiwanomori Park in Ota, Tokyo. Small private groups learn the fundamentals, try a supervised bout and take photos together. Larger groups can request a mat venue.

Osaka
Discover sumo in a traditional training space in central Osaka, formerly used by Miyagino Stable during its Osaka training camp. The venue is around eight minutes by train from Namba, with additional time needed to reach the meeting point on foot.

Before you step into the ring
Please enquire at least two weeks ahead for a private session. Bring drinking water, a towel and a change of clothes. Children may join from age two; age four and above is recommended. Children aged twelve or under need a parent or supervising adult. Tell us about access and participation needs in advance.
